How Reporting Works
When you file a report on The People’s Docket, here’s exactly what happens:
1. Submit Your Report
You complete the form with the details of the incident.
Upload any evidence (documents, screenshots, video, audio, photos, medical records).
Your report is saved in our secure system and timestamped.
2. Notify the Person or Institution
Once submitted, you may notify the person or institution involved that a report has been filed against them on The People’s Docket.
They are given two weeks to correct the wrongdoing or provide a response.
3. The Two-Week Window
During this 14-day period, the report remains private.
This gives the individual or institution the opportunity to make it right — fix the error, honor their commitment, or respond meaningfully.
4. Public Posting
After the two weeks:
If the issue is unresolved, their face, their name, and the details of the misconduct are published publicly on our website and across our social media platforms.
If the issue is resolved, the report is still published on the website but is marked “Resolved.” Resolved cases will not be amplified on social media.
5. Escalation to Oversight Agencies
Depending on the nature of the misconduct, reports may also be referred to appropriate oversight bodies, including (but not limited to):
CDC (Centers for Disease Control) for health-related institutions
Department of Justice (DOJ) for civil rights or justice violations
EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) for workplace discrimination
State Bar Associations for attorney/judge misconduct
Medical Boards / Nursing Boards for healthcare misconduct
Department of Education / Accreditation Boards for universities and schools
Police Internal Affairs / Civilian Review Boards for law enforcement misconduct
6. Accountability in Action
The goal of The People’s Docket is not just to “blast” people — it is to create accountability.
🔎 What We Share Publicly
Your initials only (never your full name)
The incident details (what happened)
The person or institution involved
That’s it.
🛡️ What We Keep Private
We ask for demographics (age, race, gender, etc.) and discrimination details to help us identify trends in bias and misconduct.
This information will never be published with your report and will only be used for research, tracking, and advocacy purposes.

⚖️ Truthfulness & Liability

📂 How Your Report Is Stored
Once you submit:
A secure folder is created in our system with the date of your report, your initials, and the name of the official or institution.
Any evidence (photos, audio, video, documents) is stored in that folder.
If you ever need your documentation again, you may request it from us.
